KIDDY Carseats NOW IN STOCK!!

The infinity pro car seat by kiddy, has had a cracking start to 2009, by achieving the highest score possible for two test criteria in Which magazine, gaining 100% for both ‘side impact protection’ and ‘avoiding incorrect use’, in a test of 54 international models.

The infinity pro is a Group 1 design which accommodates babies and toddlers weighing from 9 to 18kg, but unlike its competitors, it uses a unique ‘impact shield’ instead of a harness and buckle. Rigorous crash testing of the seat proves its cutting-edge design is super safe.

The Which report says, ‘It is secured in a forward-facing position using the adult seat belt, which feeds over and through a special ‘body shield’, designed to spread the loads transmitted to the child in a crash. Feeding the seat belt over and through the seat’s ‘body shield’ is very straightforward, as is buckling it up with the child in position. All this is aided by very clear instructions, minimising the chances of it being fitted incorrectly.’

Which was also impressed by the child safety features of the infinity pro the report concludes that, ‘…the Infinity Pro’s front crash rating is good, with the child well protected from the risk of serious injury. It does even better in the side crash, where the seat scores top marks for protecting the child’. Research has shown that the worst accidents come from being hit from the side.

Most importantly Which found that this sturdy design is ‘very lightweight’ at just 5kg, and ‘also commendably easy to fit’, so it’s practical to move from parent to childminder’s car easily without straining the back.
